Who We Are

Children of Bellevue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that supports essential efforts to transform the health, development, and well-being of children and their families at Bellevue Hospital, the largest public hospital in New York City.

We envision a future for the Bellevue Hospital community where all children can grow up healthy and equipped to achieve their full potential, a future where Bellevue’s dedicated and passionate staff and volunteers have all the resources they need to succeed and to build on the pioneering legacy of the Children of Bellevue.

The Opportunity

Children of Bellevue has just started to embark upon an exciting period of transformation over the next three years. Starting January 2021, we kicked off the implementation of a new strategic plan, developed throughout 2020, that is geared towards taking our organization to the next level in how we can best support the Bellevue community. As such, we are looking for an experienced, highly dynamic Executive Director to be at the heart of this strategic plan and partner with the Board of Directors to see this plan come to fruition.

About the Role

The Executive Director will report to the Chair of the Board of Directors, and will be responsible for the organization's consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. A major component of the role will be to lead the Children of Bellevue boards and staff in executing the three-year strategic plan that was approved by the board at the end of 2020.

Organizational leadership and substantial fundraising experience from our next Executive Director is critical. The Executive Director will lead a small team that consists of our Director of Administration (full-time, permanent staff), Accountant (part-time permanent), Interim Development Manager (part-time consultant), and CoB Intern (full-time, though not permanent staff).
