About the Association to Benefit Children (ABC):

Since 1986, ABC has been dedicated to bringing joy and warmth to disadvantaged children and their families through compassionate, sustainable, comprehensive and integrated services, designed to permanently break the cycles of abuse, neglect, sickness and homelessness.

ABC’s humane and innovative programs today include early childhood education for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, educational advocacy, housing assistance, mental health services, family support and preservation, crisis intervention, therapeutic out-of-school and summer day camp programs, youth leadership development and mentoring.

About Cassidy’s Place:

At Cassidy’s Place, we serve preschoolers whose needs vary but may include living in poverty, having serious developmental and medical disabilities, homeless, foster care, or have suffered abuse and neglect. Our goal is to provide a warm and safe learning environment where the children can play, learn, and thrive in the nine dynamic classrooms and two outdoor play spaces available. Cassidy's Place offers a full day of education and support services, blending Head Start, Preschool Special Education (CPSE), and Universal Pre-Kindergarten.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the early childhood program, including coordinating program outreach, referral, and screening processes
  • Report directly to Executive Director and Chief Program Officer
  • Providing direction to teachers in all matters of curriculum, activities, and techniques implemented in the early childhood program
  • Supervising early childhood, social services, and related services

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years supervisory experience
  • Minimum three years of direct service work with preschoolers and their families
  • Advanced Degree and NYS Certification in Early Childhood and Students with Disabilities Birth-grade 2
  • School Administration and Supervisor (SAS), School District Administrator (SDA), School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Leader (SDL) required.
