Senior Education Manager

 W!SE is a national nonprofit based in New York City dedicated to developing financial literacy and preparing youth for college and the workplace. We are seeking a dynamic candidate with experience in educational programming to be a full time or part time senior manager for an exciting high school initiative that culminates in a competition. Top student projects with innovative solutions to real world social/community issues are awarded college scholarships.  

The Senior Manager’s responsibilities include

·       Leading an educational program with a focus on college level research and the development

   of college-ready skills

·       Recruiting school participation in the tri-state area

·       Assisting schools in implementing the Quality of Life Program

·       Building partnerships with participating high schools, universities, community agencies

·       Creating and or revising educational program materials

·       Organizing program events including an annual celebration and awards ceremony

·       Planning and facilitating workshops and webinars for teachers, students, or volunteers

·       Securing volunteer judges and mentors

·       Maintaining program records

·       Making presentations and preparing communications

·       Managing an online platform for competition submissions

·       Visiting participating schools after schools are fully open

·       Developing social media content


QUALIFICATIONS:

·       BA/BS in social science, education, English, public affairs, non-profit or other relevant field.

·       Experience with social science research, working with schools and/or students

   preferred

·       Superior written and oral communication skills

·       Minimum of 3 years related experience

·       Strong technology and social media skills

·       Ability to manage multiple, concurrent initiatives with deadlines

·       Ability to work with students, teachers, or nonprofit or corporate executives

·       Organized and resourceful

·       Independent, take-charge work style focused on results

·       Experience/interest in either high school education or youth development

·       Energetic individual with strong technology skills
