ManifestWorks is looking to hire our first ever Program Coordinator, an exciting opportunity for someone seeking a career with impact. We are an immersive workforce development, job placement and ongoing support organization; we turn real-world experience into transformative opportunities for those impacted by foster care, homelessness, and incarceration.

The program coordinator will enhance our efforts to bring the opportunities of ManifestWorks to more people. Supporting Director-level staff, and reporting to the Program Director, this is an ideal position for someone who is both resourceful and understands the challenges for those coming from marginalized communities.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate candidate who not only aligns with our mission and values, but who also wants to build, innovate, deliver results and grow with us.

The position will support three priorities: (1) providing coordination for our 3X-a-year, 10-week, workforce-training and job-placement program for production careers in Hollywood, (2) coordinating participant/alumni job placements and (3) scaffolding those we serve as they navigate the unique, unfamiliar challenges and opportunities of ManifestWorks.

In the first week, expect to:

  • Onboard and integrate into ManifestWorks.
  • Attend your first staff meeting and first class.
  • Familiarize yourself with our internal processes and tools.

In the first month, expect to:

  • Build relationships with the team, participants and alumni.
  • Learn the mission and start to understand our different programs.
  • Participate in our all-day, Saturday classes, providing assistance to the Program Director with scheduling and coordinating, specifically for interviews, orientation, classes (locations and guests) and record-keeping.

In the first three months, expect to:

  • Understand the Manifest curriculum and start to develop an understanding of the ins and outs of physical production in Hollywood.
  • Familiarize yourself with the mechanics of the job placement process.
  • Assume the role as the coordinator for our technology platform.

In the first six months, expect to:

  • Coordinate some classes independently.
  • Coordinate the job placement process.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and leadership to solve complex challenges.

In the first year, expect to:

  • Develop unique ways you can build ManifestWorks and improve the programs we offer.
  • Develop and deliver professional goals that enhance your contribution and inform your merit and bonus pay.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a wide range of duties, their timelines and the spinning plates outlined above. Attention to detail, leadership, ownership of responsibilities and a deep commitment to professionalism define the work culture we teach at ManifestWorks; a strong candidate will have these attributes in spades.

We offer a competitive salary, very generous paid time-off and a learning environment with opportunities for growth.  We can also offer a monthly stipend to off-set the cost of your benefits (if applicable) and we match the allowable maximum of IRA contribution. While our offices are in Hollywood, this position will exist both in person and virtually, and will require some autonomy. You must be available to attend most of the 30 classes we offer on Saturdays; We do offer flexibility in work hours to accommodate this schedule.
