NHF is looking for a Chapter Development Specialist to join our team. In partnership with the Director(s) of Chapter Development overseeing the NHF chapter network, the Chapter Development Specialist will develop project and data management systems and create monitoring activities to ensure accurate and timely outcomes reporting. The position will also lead and/or collaborate with chapter services team members and chapter staff and volunteers in providing support and assistance for managing local databases and/or data management projects. Your other responsibilities include but are not limited to; 

  • Develop project management systems to support a multitude of chapter services activities – goals, tasks, timelines, evaluation activities and progress monitoring, and reporting.
  • Lead and/or collaborate with chapter services team members and chapter staff and volunteers in providing support and assistance for managing local chapter databases. This includes the ability to track consumer information, event attendance, and donor records and interactions.
  • Model and coach chapters integrating data management systems (i.e. importing/exporting), when appropriate.
  • Ensure the timely management and execution of NHF chapter services sponsorship fulfillment of benefits in collaboration with other chapter services team members, as well as other NHF departments.
  • Monitor data across activities and projects of chapter services to triangulate data with the goal of identifying trends, needs, challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop and manage chapter resource sharing appropriate platforms to promote access to replicable best practices.
  • Occasional facilitation of webinars, or workshops and presentations at local and/or national events across the country.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally in support of chapter services programming as needed.
  • Develop content and support communication efforts sharing chapter services activities through various available forums (i.e. Facebook Coffee Shop, the Chapter Update, NHF Red Employee newsletter, HemAware, etc.) to communicate updates, outcomes and opportunities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

To qualify for this unique opportunity, you should have the following skills, education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in public health, nonprofit or community service environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in project management and program development and execution.
  • Self-motivated, critical thinker with keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience with CRM databases (donor databases such as DonorPerfect or Bloomerang a plus), and/or experience with peer-to-peer fundraising platforms (i.e. Donor Drive).
  • Experience with project management software and/or content development software (i.e. Canva) is also plus.
  • Ability to work with and influence diverse groups of people.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills required.
  • Bilingual a plus!
