The Donor and Sponsor Relations Associate directly supports the Director of Philanthropy and Corporate Giving, helping to ensure that fundraising functions at The Connecticut Forum run smoothly and efficiently.

This person is responsible for all administrative tasks associated with fundraising activities and will be an integral part of a small, fast-moving, cohesive team. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and proficiency in interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills a must.

Duties are divided between the following:

• Assist the Director of Philanthropy and Corporate Giving in prioritizing, setting up and attending meetings with donors and prospects.

• Coordination and disbursement of sponsor benefits.

• Facilitate all functions of the Friends of The Forum Annual Direct Mail Campaign.

• Oversee donor records and reporting in constituent database.

• Write organizational grant applications and processing follow-up reports.

• Coordinate fundraising communications and deadlines.

• Donor gift entry and acknowledgment.

• Support for donor/sponsor meetings and cultivation events.

Level of Language Proficiency

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact and communicate with diverse people and personalities
  • Curiosity about Connecticut and Hartford businesses, schools, people, and organizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fundraising experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
  • Passion for The CT Forum mission
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact and communicate with diverse people and personalities
