About the role: The Events Coordinator is a full-time non-exempt role. They will work with our grassroots network of donors and volunteers who support and organize events and serve as local advocates. They will report directly to Jaclyn Zendrian, Vice President - Events. They will help to maintain and improve events and programs through information and logistical support that supports the mission of CurePSP.


Primary Functions:

·       Assists in creating and managing volunteer educational, awareness, and fundraising events; provide logistical support and guidance for these groups and individuals.

·       Active outreach to volunteers and donors to encourage events and initiatives and suggest ideas consistent with their interests and abilities.

·       Develops innovative approaches for increasing donor and volunteer support.

·       Collaborates with all team members on events throughout the entire lifecycle of the event, from the initial inquiry to event execution to post-event follow-up.

·       Supports the management of CurePSP’s promotional merchandise program and is the gatekeeper for volunteer-produced materials.

·       Coordinates the development and production of event-related materials such as registration sites, database modules, event collateral, etc.

·       Manages virtual events independently and as part of a team.

·       Create and design sponsorship prospectuses and research and solicit potential funders.

·       Ensures accurate and timely input of event, donor, and registrant information into the database.

Required Skills

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact with individuals at all levels and handle sensitive situations professionally with tact, empathy, and diplomacy.

·       Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Must be comfortable taking initiative.

·       Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet time-sensitive deadlines.

·       Meticulous and efficient organizational and multitasking skills.

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Education and Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree or other training in a relevant field.

·       Preference is given to candidates with fundraising and endurance events knowledge.

·       Must be able to lift at least 20lbs. in weight.

Location and Travel

·       This is a hybrid role; you must be in the NYC office two (2) days a week.

·       Some travel is required – and occasionally on weekends (~15%).

Salary and Benefits

·       This position offers a yearly salary range of $45,000-$50,000
