Job Overview:

The Network Capacity Manager will ensure City Harvest’s network/client resource and engagement strategy supports our operational objectives and our partner development. The ideal candidate will develop tools and resources for the City Harvest agency network. The Network Capacity Manager will also coordinate training and other engagement opportunities for agency partners and work cross-functionally with Capacity & Compliance and Agency Operations teams to coordinate and implement tools. 


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute training, events, and other supports to increase the capacity of the agency network. 
  2. Collect information from agencies regarding their needs and develop strategies to help agencies run more efficient and effective operations. 
  3. Collaborate with Network Capacity team to develop online resources and platforms for agency staff. 
  4. Oversee and administer financial support programs (outside of infrastructure investments) for the agency network. Oversee the application review, dissemination of funds, and reporting back from funding recipients. 

Job Specifications:

Knowledge 1: In-depth knowledge of the emergency food system in NYC.

Knowledge 2: Understanding of capacity building as it pertains to food pantries and soup kitchens.

Technical Skills:

  1. Strong ability to manage multiple projects at once and effectively prioritize tasks to deliver results by the given deadline. 
  2. Must be able to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to present and communicate findings in a clear manner to a variety of audiences. 
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  5. Ability to collaborate with diverse partners to create programming and solve challenges. 
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.


Requirements: 

  • Education: Bachelors’ Degree.
  • Experience: 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
