WOAR, the only rape crisis center in Philadelphia has an exciting new opportunity: HT Project Coordinator.
This position will focus on bringing advocacy services to survivors of Human Trafficking.
This position reports to the Director of Counseling Services and will assume the following responsibilities:
Supervision of Certified Peer Specialist
Provide and coordinate in-person crisis intervention that can include safety planning, court accompaniment,
and medical accompaniment
Hotline as necessary
Maintain a small therapy caseload of Human Trafficking Survivors
Develop support groups for Human Trafficking Survivors
Provide and coordinate information and referral for case management services
Advocate for Human Trafficking Survivors with community taskforces and coalitions.
Education and/or Experience:
MS/MA in Social Work or Psychology with 2-3 years of experience.
Training/certification as a Sexual Exploitation Counselor preferred.
Proficiency with assessment, case conceptualization, and implementing empirically supported treatments
Program coordination and development necessary
Must possess high level of creativity and initiative as well as strong networking skills.
Must work well both individually and as a member of a team.
Experience working with diverse communities.
Able to work some weekends and evenings as needed.
Strong interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills required.
