Description

Founded in Summit, New Jersey, in 1988, Family Promise is the leading national nonprofit addressing the crisis of family homelessness. Our organization, comprised of approximately 200 Affiliates, takes on the range of issues that can lead to homelessness. From prevention services to emergency shelter, stabilization supports, and permanent housing, we ensure families have access to critical resources to achieve lasting housing independence. We have served more than one million individuals since our founding. You can learn more about us at familypromise.org.

Are you excited by change?  Do you enjoy leading and motivating teams? Are you ready to take your career to the next level through work that has a transformative effect upon families today and into the future? We’re looking for an energetic, strategic, entrepreneurial-minded professional who’s not afraid of new ideas to join our growing team as Director of Affiliate Services.

In this newly created role, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of five Regional Directors and overseeing a national network of close to 200 Affiliates. It’s all about sustainability and growth: ensuring Affiliates have the expertise and capacity to provide the much-needed services in their communities, as well as the strategies in place to meet the growing demand for services.

Working closely with the Chief Program Officer (CPO), you will help create and execute the operational and growth strategy for the Affiliate Services team and the national network. Collaborating across internal departments as well as externally with national partners, you’ll identify trends, make recommendations, and implement solutions to expand the Family Promise network and increase the number of families served. Your creative thinking and problem-solving skills will enhance community impact and ensure the sustainability of the Affiliates in our network.

About you: You have experience managing all aspects of a social service nonprofit (operations, programming, fundraising, leadership) and understand a federated model. You’re an excellent communicator, tech savvy, and have successful experience with system-wide change management projects. You enjoy coaching and mentoring team members and are passionate about creating a dynamic, healthy culture where everyone thrives. You can see – or better yet, design - the big picture and think strategically, but you’re patient and practical about details and boots-on-the-ground operations.

About us: We offer an inclusive, meaningful, and fun work environment, a platform to do life-changing work that makes a difference on a national scale, and the opportunity to collaborate with passionate, creative, and productive colleagues across the country. As part of our primarily remote workforce, you’ll have the opportunity to travel and connect with coworkers and clients. You will be able to combine professional development and personal growth with the creation of meaningful change. At the same time, you’ll be creating the road map for this new position, innovating and evolving with the role as needed and interested.

Family Promise recognizes that communities and organizations are stronger when they combine the skills, experiences, and efforts of a diverse group of individuals. We foster a culture that embraces diversity, promotes inclusivity, furthers social justice, and empowers all to connect. As an organization, we are constantly evolving, listening, and learning to meet the needs of our team members and other stakeholders.

Does all of this resonate with you? If your answer is YES, we want to hear from you!
