Job Description:

  • Oversee and manage all financial activities of the organization
  • Responsibility for developing and maintaining internal financial control procedures
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of chart of accounts, relevant financial data, monthly analysis of financial performance, and unit cost analysis
  • Responsibility for annual inventory of significant assets, including investments
  • Responsibility for a monthly analysis of financial performance against budget projection with budget-to-actual variance analyses performed on interim financial statement of activities
  • Responsibility for preparing annual report of financial statistical and service data (Uniform Financial Report)
  • Supervise Fiscal Staff, including Billing
  • Prepare annual budget
  • Monitor state and federal contract obligations
  • Interface with audit firm and conduct banking activities
  • Works with and provides information to the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Participates as member of Senior Management providing leadership to fiscal department through continuous focus on solutions grounded in agency vision and strategic goals
  • Analyze complex situations and decide appropriate course of action
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and externals laws and regulations
  • Provides strategy and execution towards the fiscal health and growth of the agency
  • Develops excellent working relationships with resources and regulatory/licensing authorities
  • Works closely with Management to develop and maintain appropriate business plans
  • Leads and promotes agency culture of learning and respect to others as well as agency mission and strategic plan
  • Promotes a culture of quality by using short-term/annual plans that support long-term strategic quality goals; setting expectations for use of quality and performance improvement results to change policy and practice; encouraging service delivery processes that have been shown to contribute to good outcomes; focusing on service recipient satisfaction and outcomes
  • Recognizes staff contributions to performance and quality improvement
  • Fulfill any other duties as requested by the CEO

Level of Language Proficiency


  • MBA or BA in business related field, CPA preferred with a broad level of competence and knowledge of industry practices
  • Proven leadership skills with a minimum of 7 years experience in a Senior Management position
  • Extensive business and financial experience essential
  • Minimum of 5+ year’s experience in the non-profit sector
  • Experience in CQI processes for engaging people throughout the organization; systematically collecting information and analyzing data; and communicating results and recommendations to various key audiences
  • Strong analytical ability & critical thinking skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and computer skills
  • Excellent judgment, organizational, prioritizing and decision-making skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Valid MA driver’s license with acceptable driving record and current proof of insurance Acceptable CORI and SORI background record check as required by program
