Social Media Star

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a talented, motivated and up-and-coming Social Media Star to bring their creativity and 'enthusiasm for engagement’ to all of our growing digital media channels. We want to add an intern who knows how to:

• grow followers and reach new audiences
• build an authentic online voice
• inspire a community

This will initially be an unpaid internship role, with a chance for the successful candidate to grow the position into a part- or even full-time opportunity with Ascent. Where this role goes (and how quickly) is up to you!

The Opportunity & Key Responsibilities

This is an opportunity to gain real world experience with an emerging soccer, sustainability & education leader. And, we are offering a young, motivated, self-starting Social Media Star ‘the keys to our digital presence’, with a chance to make a name for yourself, while making an impact!

There will be opportunities to attend virtual and in-person moments, including the possibility of project/event visits in North America, the EU and even East Africa.

Key responsibilities and opportunities in this role will include, and are not limited to:

• Build and deliver on an entertaining and engaging social media content calendar;
• Drive content creation, scheduling, and organization with a chance to make a name for one’s self whilst
• supporting an important (in our own space) cause across all channels;
• Measure and report on the performance of social moments, campaigns, and storytelling;
• Measure our follower growth, report on social media trends and identify opportunities for improvement;
• Wow us! Identify and deliver new opportunities for social content and approaches across all of our channels.
