As a science-based organization, we create innovative, on-the-ground solutions to our world’s toughest challenges so that we can create a world in which people and nature thrive.
We’re rooted in our Mission and guided by our Values, which includes a Commitment to Diversity and Respect for People, Communities, and Cultures. We know we’ll only achieve our Mission by hiring and engaging a diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we work. Whether it’s career development, work/life balance, or a rewarding mission, there’s lots of reasons to love life #insideTNC. Our goal is to cultivate an inclusive work environment so that all of our colleagues around the globe feel a sense of belonging, and that their unique contributions to our mission are valued.
We live in a fast-paced world, where we have multiple sources of information at our fingertips. At The Nature Conservancy, our goal is to share the right information and stories with the right audiences at the right time, connecting key individuals and organizations to our important work. We are seeking an experienced, high-energy, strategic Media & Public Relations Manager to raise awareness of conservation and TNC’s work specifically. Ideal candidates will have, or be able to build, strategic relationships with media outlets and policy makers/elected officials to curate our stories, insights and learning for placement in appropriate outlets. They will also help identify other key audiences for those stories, building brand awareness, and positioning The Nature Conservancy as a thought leader. They will work as a member of the Michigan Communications Team, with a strong connection to the Government Relations team and the Chapter’s External Affairs work.
