Cathedral Administrator

Administrative Responsibilities:       

  • Coordinate office work in a busy cathedral environment.
  • Manage administrative assistant, assigning and prioritizing tasks 
  • Manage multiple platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Planning Center, Zoom, Adobe Creative Suite, Amazon Business, Staples Business, etc. adding or removing users/licenses as needed, providing training and support to cathedral employees, handling billing
  • Manage Cathedral credit cards, adding and removing users as needed, sharing invoice with users so they can submit their reports, paying bill online and reporting to finance
  • Manage Expense Reporting system and liaison with diocesan finance team. Collect reports from employees, Generate PDF and spreadsheets for finance
  • Generate Zoom links for various events, post to appropriate calendars and advertising materials
  • Liaise with IT, ordering new equipment, scheduling installation and requesting support
  • Work with diocesan administrative staff on coordinating calendars, facility use, and joint events
  • Coordinate staff meetings and other project meetings
  • Cover admin assistant duties if they are sick/on vacation

Communications Responsibilities:

  • Manage graphic designer, assigning and prioritizing projects
  • Manage website via Contentful, update content, work with web developer on creating new pages. Add all seasonal events with registration links. 
  • Edit content for e-news, post to website and send weekly via Constant Contact
  • Manage Facebook and Instagram accounts; regular posts, adding all events to Facebook.
  • Manage Zoom recordings, edit sermon videos with intro/outro and post to Vimeo and website. Distribute recordings as requested 
  • Manage advertising and work with graphic designer on projects including ads in the paper, sponsorships, street banners, postcards, etc.
  • Coordinate and edit quarterly Cathedral Life brochure, source photos from photo library, request content from ministry leaders, work with designer on layout and editing. Coordinate printing with DGIC, coordinate mailing with administrative assistant
  • Write articles for the Garden City, News for major events, both before and after
  • Hire photographers for major events, coordinate volunteer photographers for other events, maintain photo library
