    Description

    Communications & Program Associate

    This is a full time Administrative position, designed to support the CDT office, promote CDT through print and social media, volunteer coordination for CDT and event management. Hours are flexible M-F for remote and in person. The schedule is flexible, when done in advance.

    $43K- $48 a year

    As a communications and Program Associate you will create and distribute internal and external communications including the monthly newsletter, weekly announcements and promotional materials for festivals, events, programs and publicize CDT community activities throughout MetroWest.

    Communications

    Create, write and edit social media posts and flyers. Keep the CDT calendar and website updated. Maintain and curate the image library. Create forms, spreadsheets and reports to ensure communication support for committees and congregants.

    Administrative

    Administrative support for CDT includes supporting committees and groups including by collecting items for the newsletter, updating the database, and answering questions. Support for the congregation includes onboarding new members, maintaining the database and creating forms, spreadsheets, surveys and other support documents.

    Volunteer Management

    Using technology, coordinate and maintain the Kiddush assignment list, serving as a reference for questions and communicating expectations. Support volunteer activities by providing operational support, ensuring supplies, spaces and equipment are available.

    Skills required

    • Organizational skills: excellent phone and email skills, excellent writing, editing and communication skills
    • Proficiency or ability to learn WordPress and Canva
    • Proficiency with social media
    • Proficiency or ability to learn ShulCloud (synagogue database and CRM), scheduling apps, tools for digital communication, invitations, surveys/forms
    • Knowledge and understanding of Jewish values, culture, and community preferred.
    • Enjoys working directly with synagogue members and prospective members to provide understanding and support for their needs.
    • Knowledge of or experience with basic Hebrew a plus
    • Strong graphic design skills

    Benefits

    Schedule can be flexible for both in person and remote, with notice. We ask for three days a week in the office. Benefits include paid sick time, three weeks of vacation, retirement and health insurance. Benefits increase in the third year of employment.

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Hebrew- ability to read with casual understanding. Ability to Google to clarify proper usage.
