The Cancer Research Institute (CRI), a top-rated nonprofit organization dedicated to saving more lives by fueling discovery and development of powerful immunotherapies for all types of cancer, is seeking an IT Manager reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. The IT Manager is responsible for all of the organization's data and telecommunications networks, all associated hardware, software, and is the single point of contact for all technical needs and end-user support.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage and run the CRI’s fundraising, grants, and accounting technical systems
  •  Oversee system backups, recoveries and system fault tolerance
  •  Ensure disaster recovery implementation, including regular data integrity testing.
  • Manage and secure a wide variety of networking equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Ensure that hardware and software patches and updates are applied in a timely fashion
  • Manage CRI’s Vonage IP Office PBX system
  • Implement and monitor network security for LAN/WAN and maintain audit logs
  • Manage and maintain CRI’s internet domains and website servers, including registration, hosting, and renewal
  • Track, maintain, and guide organization’s technology inventory and stack
  • Plan, budget, and implement new technologies, additions, and upgrades to the network and related systems, including the research and selection of new equipment and software
  • Ensure appropriate data protection and compliance for organization’s technology
  • Monitor CRI’s networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occurs Help to design, implement, and maintain CRI’s technology policies and procedures
  • Suggest and provide IT solutions to business and management problems
  •  Identify and provide basic technology training needs of organization staff
  • Undertake special projects as necessary


Requirements:

  • College-level degree from a four (4) year accredited school
  • At least two (2) year of technical experience in a non-profit environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Multi-Node Networks (OSI, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP)
  • Must have front & back-end experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and Accounting for Non- Profits/Financial Edge as well as Hosted Environment
  • Must be able to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals
  • Must be able to work with a small fast-paced staff as the single point of contact for all technical needs
