The American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC) promotes common sense immigration reform that advances economic competitiveness, provides companies with both the high-skilled and low-skilled talent they need, and allows the integration of immigrants into our economy as consumers, workers, entrepreneurs, and citizens.

ABIC members include CEOs, retired CEOs, business associations, small business owners as well as hospitals and universities. ABIC works in partnership with diverse immigrant advocates to support pro-immigrant legislation at the state and federal levels. Currently, ABIC is active in 16 states including Illinois, Florida, Texas, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, South Carolina, North Carolina, Colorado, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, and Nevada.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leadership and Board support
  • Assist the Executive Director and Deputy Director with scheduling and submitting reimbursements 
  • Assist board members with scheduling and follow up
  • Maintain and update contact databases in EveryAction and Google
  • Manage ABIC shared calendar
  • Other duties as assigned


Organizational Support

  • Assist with collecting and processing staff reimbursements
  • Assist with coordinating travel and accommodations for staff
  • Assist with bill payment and collection
  • Assist with processing and organizing contracts and W9 collection
  • Assist HR with state registrations, charity registrations, and operational support related to the compliance of ABIC with State and Federal Laws
  • Assist the Development team with processing thank you letters, emails, and notifications 
  • Monitor and respond to requests for information for the general ABIC email account
  • Help with administrative capacity for events, including but not limited to
  • Creating Zoom Webinar Links
  • Set-up events to do list and activities in Asana (project management software)
  • Booking meeting space
  • Tracking to ensure contracts are signed and bills are processed in a timely manner


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field
  • Detail oriented. Ability to manage multiple projects and pivot as needed.
  • Excellent finance and budget skills, preferably including familiarity with QuickBooks
  • Working knowledge of Google’s G Suite
  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with tracking government grants a plus

Compensation: This position will be full-time. We offer a competitive compensation package. Please note all salaries are commensurate with experience. ABIC also provides an attractive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, unlimited paid time off, and standard holidays.
