Outreach & Retention Specialist, Buffalo
CEO is looking for a result-driven Outreach and Retention Specialist who will serve as the face of the organization within New York State’s Department of Corrections and Community Supervision and Community Based Organizations, developing and deepening relationships with parole officers, providing them with information about our work, and building their commitment to referring a strong pipeline of participants for our programs. They meet with parole officers, facilitate program referrals for prospective clients, lead presentations about our service offerings, and share feedback with parole officers about client progress at CEO.
The Outreach and Retention Specialist also keeps participants engaged in the labor force for twelve months once they’ve secured a full-time position. Methods of engagement include maintaining frequent contact and spending time in the field with participants, connecting participants with educational and vocational opportunities, providing participants with continued life skills education, advocating for participant needs with parole officers, and distributing retention incentives to participants.
CEO's Staff Vaccination Policy
CEO has implemented an org-wide vaccination requirement that requires all new staff to be fully vaccinated or to have received one dose of the Pfizier or Moderna shot before their first day of work. We have made this decision for the safety of our participants and employees and to enhance our ability to continue to provide the vital services we offer to our participants. As part of the onboarding process, new hires will be asked to submit proof of vaccination status prior to their first day of employment.

Our programs help participants successfully transition from incarceration to stable and productive lives. Across the United States, over 5,000 people participate in CEO each year, transitioning to employment that support themselves, their families, and their communities.
What began as a demonstration project of the Vera Institute of Justice in the 1970s has grown into the leading national reentry employment organization in the country. Through CEO, over 17,000 formerly incarcerated individuals have secured full-time employment since 1996. Over the past 5 years, CEO expanded nationally into thirteen cities in New York, California, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania, and will continue to grow further in the next three years.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $40,000-$42,000 annually. In an effort to be both equitable and transparent, CEO's compensation philosophy considers a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, internal equity, and home office location in making a final determination on our salary offer. We recognize that salary is a part of the overall compensation package and are happy to provide health, dental, 401k, and professional development opportunities to our staff.
