Database Management Specialist

Position Overview: 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Database Maintenance, Management, and Development: Catalog and track data from a variety of client databases and systems. Manage lists and perform basic data manipulation with Excel and/or other software. Assumes general responsibility for the collecting, editing, processing, and distribution of data.
• Reporting & Compliance: Provide assistance in the preparation of analyses and reports. Coordinate timelines and activities for multiple data projects. Consult with departments concerning the importance of data requirements.
• Data Analysis: Review and analyze sets for data accuracy. Assist in the design, development, and implementation of computerized data files and information systems. Develop best practices and strategies, and procedures for data management. Recommend and implement new operating methods to improve data flow, collection, editing, processing, and distribution.
• Quality Improvement: Participate in ongoing quality improvement efforts of the agency.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Experience working with Excel and database manipulation in Windows
• Considerable knowledge of computerized information systems including the operation and maintenance of data files
