The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) is seeking a strong Director of Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Sponsorships to manage their mission and provide service to the infection prevention community while generating new streams of revenue. This role is responsible for maintaining relationships with corporations and external organizations and conceptualizing new partnership opportunities. 

The Director of Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Sponsorships works closely with the Executive Vice President and senior leadership on overall strategy, revenue forecasting/monitoring, and relationship management. The incumbent will also work closely with project managers and other department operations on sponsor/partner fulfillment and activation.

Major Responsibilities include:

·        Collaborate with senior leadership to establish short and long term, non-dues revenue goals and pursue established goals throughout the year.

·        Develop recommendations and refine master documents for the strategic partner program and all sponsorship programs

·        Communicate and enforce APIC’s Guidelines to Corporate Partnerships with partners, sponsors, and advertisers.

·        Coordinate and collaborate with other departments on the development and delivery of sponsorships.

·        Report regularly on partnerships and sales pipeline to the senior leadership team, including the  CEO and CFO.

·        Serve as the lead salesperson for strategic partner program, advertising, and sponsorships.

·        Identify, prioritize, and pursue new sponsors and partners.

·        Monitor and manage overlapping sales efforts with Education, Marketing, Membership, Products, and other teams

·        Serve as an account manager and contact for strategic partners and sponsors while overseeing servicing and renewals for sponsors.

·        Coordinate fulfillment of benefits and work with staff to track partner objectives, spending, and activation efforts.

·        Coordinate with staff to ensure that customized fulfillment reports for partners outlining marketing benefits are delivered.

·        Oversee corporate support vendor components.

Qualified candidates will offer a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent training, Masters preferred, plus six to eight years of experience in professional association business development. APIC is seeking individuals with three to four years of success in corporate sponsorship sales/servicing and experience selling 5 to 6 figure sponsorships.  The ideal candidate will have experience in the development of educational products and services, grant RFP process, and proposal writing.
