Position Summary: This is a per diem position searching for an outpatient therapist with clinical experience with both youth and adults ranging from 4-65 years old. This position will report directly to the assigned Program Manager. The Outpatient Therapist will be responsible for completing all documentation required in a timely manner, including but not limited to activity logs, progress notes, intake paperwork, intake assessments, termination summaries, standardized assessment, and/or treatment plans. The Outpatient Therapist will work directly with clientele, his/her family, and other Millhill staff members to assist in providing the most appropriate course of treatment. The appropriate candidate for this position will have a minimum of a masters degree in a counseling or related discipline (must be a licensed social worker if possessing a masters in social work).
Specific Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Ÿ Will provide weekly individual, family, & group therapy modalities for a minimum of five clients on caseload.
Ÿ Create an environment in which the family feels part of the team and knows the importance of their input.
Ÿ Meet regularly for individual, group, and team supervision as needed and set forth by the Director of Behavioral Health.
Ÿ Attend staff meetings/trainings, a minimum of six per calendar year.
Ÿ Discuss all cases as part of supervision in a weekly format.
Ÿ Familiarity with various theoretical orientations conducive to providing progress with the local, urban population.
Ÿ Follow all ethical standards set forth by state licensing board that issues your license.
Ÿ Communicate with all outside agencies involved with each client as described by the client and their family. Follow standards/guidelines set forth by HIPAA and protect all client PHI.
Ÿ Be an active part of your performance evaluations.
Ÿ Familiarity with youth populations ranging from 4-21 years old & with contacting the DCP&P hotline if abuse/neglect is reported/suspected.
Ÿ Electronic health record knowledge and application will be required for all documentation. Electronic health record training is provided as part of the orientation process to the position.
Ÿ Familiarity with the wellness and recovery approach toward emotional strength & healing.
Ÿ Familiarity with the Quality of Life Inventory assessment for evaluating adults ranging from 21-65 years old.
