About The Role 


At RepresentUs, our human resources (HR) team focuses on understanding what people need and knowing how to provide it. If you’re a people-person looking to start a career in the exciting world of HR, this is the best place to dive in. We’re in search of a resourceful HR associate to support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Associate is a six month temporary position and will have administrative responsibilities, helping to plan and administer important functions, such as staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits. Location is flexible, and we currently allow staff to work from home during COVID-19 for safety.


What You’ll Be Doing



  • Handling all administrative tasks, including but not limited to onboarding and offboarding, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance, assisting employees in interpreting benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
  • Assist in supporting all DEI/EEOC initiatives, including but not limited to, Employee Resource Groups, Diversity Equity and Inclusion Council and any other DEI/EEOC initiatives
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve efficiency of the HR department and to improve the employee experience
  • Assist with ensuring legal compliance of HR vendors with regard to state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies
  • Assisting with the process of recruitment, including vetting candidates, assisting with scheduling interviews as needed
  • Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department
  • Compiling and maintaining paper, digital and electronic employee records, including holiday and sickness leaves
  • Assisting with the documentation and updating of employee compensation and benefits
  • Assist in supporting HR-related training programs, workshops and seminars
  • Entering employee data into computer database
  • Assist in organizing HR events and meetings and coordinating management-employee communications
  • Continuously learning the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and knowledge of general HR procedures and policies
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Suite and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
  • Natural interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field a plus
  • Additional HR training or experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Lever and ADP a plus
  • Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations a plus
