Instructional Assistant and Common Area Supervision

The Instructional Assistant will work with scholars in grades K-8.

Responsibilities may include but not be limited to the following:

• Support instruction in classroom by working with small groups of students
• Supervise lunch, recess, and other common areas
• Substitute for a class when a teacher is absent(k-8)
• Participate in staff professional development
• Work cooperatively with Midtown staff members in implementing activities, policies, and rules
• Model professional and respectful behaviors
• Participate in team planning as needed
• Maintain excellent attendance
• Coordinate and oversee schoolwide routines and structures
