Description

A medium-sized NFP (~$10MM in annual revenue) is seeking an Accounts Payable/Reconciliation Specialist to join its Accounting Department. The Specialist is responsible for processing vendor invoices, the monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, support of monthly budget review process and a back-up to the payroll process.

 

Essential Job Functions:

·      Complete management of the Accounts Payable function: Process invoices for payment: review invoices, distribute invoices for authorization, enter invoice and payment info into Bill.com and Financial Edge, print checks, mail;

·      Interface with the HR Department to effectively advance vendor enrollment and maintenance;

·      Prepare monthly Budget Monitor Reports after each month’s accounting close;

·      Reconcile the organization’s bank accounts;

·      Back-up Accounting Manager in the payroll function;

·      Prepare ad-hoc reports;

·      Perform other duties, as assigned

·      Ability to be resourceful and self-motivated;

·      Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity;

·      Proven positive problem-solving skills;

·      Working knowledge of accounting principles; experience working with automated accounting and payroll systems;

·      Strong and significant Accounts Payable experience, from invoice intake to invoice approval to check production to GL posting;

·      Experience preparing and posting monthly bank reconciliations;  

·      Experience with MS Office, especially Outlook and Excel;

·      Experience with Bill.com, Financial Edge (Blackbaud), Paycom (payroll system) and Salesforce a plus;

·      Experience producing and managing payroll a plus;

·      Ability to maintain employee confidence and protect operations by ensuring information remains confidential
