JOB TITLE: 

Asset Building and Financial Education Program Director (Full or Part Time – 32 – 40 hours/week)

REPORTS TO: Director of Lending and Operations

JOB DESCRIPTION:         

The Asset Building and Financial Education Program Director is responsible for the strategy and the implementation of Savings, financial education and credit building including 4 FSA/IDA. Manages 2 part- time staff and ensures program quality and growth, contract compliance, program evaluation, and strong community partnerships.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the Savings and Financial Education Department including staff management, program implementation and development, contract compliance, community partnerships, client recruitment and program evaluation.

·        Manage and grows WORC’s financial education programs. Ensure program excellence by monitoring the programs’ performance against contract goals and other deliverables and by responding to participants’ needs. 

·        Manage relationships with WORC’s local and national partners including referral agencies, partner financial institutions, and funders.

·        Coordinate and implement the Retirement Income Solutions program for 50 plus. Serve as group facilitator for the entire series (four classes). Arrange for expert guest speakers, as needed.

·        Ensure accurate and timely internal and external reports all policies, procedures and materials are compliant with funders’ directives.

·        Organize and secure sponsorships for WORC’s annual Loan and Grant Conference: Building on Your Savings for approximately 200 low income families including workshops on homeownership, business funding, educational financing, credit building and basic and advanced financial planning.

·        Manage department’s financial stability including grant writing and creating final funding reports, earned income through fees, and sponsorship.

·        Participate as a key member of WORC’s team to drive the strategy of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Minimum BS degree in social sciences, business or other applicable field, Master’s Degree preferred. At least 3 years in financial education, asset building or related field. Must have strong management skills. Must also possess excellent analytical, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills, and be a team player. Experience with funding reports, grant writing, public speaking, and working in a fast paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
