The Individual Giving Manager will coordinate and build the organization’s annual fund program of individual donors, family foundations, and donor advised funds. Reporting to the Director, Individual Giving, the Individual Giving Manager is a key member of the Development team that is focused on growing and diversifying the organization’s revenue base, expanding networks, and deepening relationships with multi-sector donors and supporters.


Annual Giving

·       Manage Prosperity Now’s individual annual revenue program, including developing strategies to garner new donors and increase sustaining gifts, retention rates, and average gift amounts

·       Directly manage a portfolio of individual and family donors, including existing and prospective donors, and secure renewals, increasing support over time

·       Draft and prepare direct mail appeals, integrated email appeals and campaigns, cultivation correspondence, and donor materials with a high degree of customization, coordinating with relevant stakeholders as necessary

·       Identify, research, support and participate in the cultivation of new prospects and current donors

·       Work closely with the Director, Individual Giving and members of the Development team on a variety of fundraising and cultivation initiatives, including the Prosperity Summit, regional events, various campaigns, and planned giving program

Data Analysis

·       Work with Director, Individual Giving on moves management strategy, and plan a calendar of activities to deepen donor engagement and increase investment annually

·       Track moves management in Salesforce, and collaborate closely with the Senior Development Associate to identify donor trends and track donor engagement, while utilizing donor analytics to inform targeted strategies

·       Prepare dashboard reports for the Development team, the President & CEO, and the Leadership Team to review to track and manage funding opportunities

Development Communications

·       Work closely with Director, Marketing and Campaigns to craft, plan and execute integrated, multi-channel individual engagement strategies, offline and online messages, donor-facing print and digital fundraising collateral, ensuring a seamless engagement experience that deepens over time

·       Partner with programmatic teams to create compelling investment opportunities and messaging that will motivate funders to invest in Prosperity Now’s mission and priority needs


·       Support administrative functions of the department to ensure smooth operations

·       Ensure timely coordination of information and data with operations teams

·       Represent Prosperity Now at funder meetings, program convenings, and/or conferences

·       Stay on top of industry trends and best practices, especially in engaging individuals and families, corporations, influencers and investors

·       Other duties as assigned


·       Educational background in related area of study

·       3-5 years of experience in fundraising, preferably for mission-driven nonprofit organizations or in a comparable business development or advocacy environment

·       Demonstrably strong business writing and document production skills

·       Experience managing or assisting in the management of an individual giving program, specifically including crafting multi-channel communications and fundraising appeals

·       Experience working with Salesforce

·       Strong oral communication skills

·       High level of attention to detail
