We are seeking a part-time squash coach to join our team working with middle and high school student-athletes.   The Squash Coach will lead a thriving squash/sports/fitness and wellness program with a good balance of hard work, competitiveness, and fun, meeting the needs of squash players of various levels of play and interest.  The Coach is expected to plan and coach youth squash/sports/fitness and wellness programming and assist with planning matches, tournaments, camps, and clinics.  The Coach will support students to make positive decisions and achieve their goals. The Coach will track student progress, actively communicate with parents/guardians, chaperone field trips, manage volunteer coaches.  This position reports to the Director of Squash. 


  • Create an engaging and encouraging environment for youth development, and strong, supportive relationships with students and parents/families
  • Plan goal-oriented squash and racquet sports, fitness, and wellness lessons for students at a variety of levels and interests
  • Lead fun and effective squash/sports/fitness sessions that promote proper movement mechanics and healthy activity for high school students
  • Support squash tryouts for new students, and proactively work to retain students in the program
  • Participate in tournament selections and enrollment and accompany students to tournaments and weekend squash activities
  • Track student attendance, timeliness, and other participation indicators
  • Participate in weekend squash matches as needed
  • Assist with driving students to and from program activities
  • Demonstrate commitment to learning and growing skill-sets in anti-racism and equity through literature, training, and reflections with the team


  • High School Diploma or GED,  Associate degree or higher preferred in exercise science, physical education, or related field 
  • Experience working with youth in enrichment and/or sports programs preferred
  • Experience teaching squash preferred
  • Experience managing  squash, sports, or fitness programming preferred
  • Experience training and managing volunteers preferred
  • CPR/First Aid and AED certification (SquashWise will provide)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience, or at least 1 year of driving experience plus completion of a defensive driving course (SquashWise will provide)
  • Must pass a criminal history background check and driving record check

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, take initiative, and problem-solve
  • Strong professional work ethic
  • Demonstrated experience in fitness, athletics, youth development, coaching, and/or squash
