Description

The East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District (EMSWCD) is seeking a Community Connections Liaison (CCL) for the Urban Lands program. The Community Connections Liaison will work with staff and community groups/organizations to increase the engagement and participation of key communities in EMSWCD programs and projects throughout the urban areas of the district. An important function of this position will be to facilitate relationships between EMSWCD and community organizers, organizations, and opinion leaders. 

Job duties include, but are not limited to: event coordination; leading and/or supporting organization-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative; assisting with outreach efforts; and connecting community groups and community leaders with EMSWCD programs and staff. 

This position is being offered at three classification levels (C1, C2, or C3), based on the applicant’s qualifications. The primary goal is to hire at the C2 or C3 classification, but promising C1-level candidates will be considered. Persons who represent diverse backgrounds and who speak more than one language are encouraged to apply.
