Under the direction of the Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation (JCCF) Director of Strategic Partnerships (DSP), the Special Projects Coordinator provides comprehensive support for JCCF fundraising and stewardship events and activities including the Events Program’s with particular emphasis on developing Third Party event relationships through in-person, phone and email communication.
Demonstrated analytical skills to effectively assess performance of special events and communication programs, and make recommendations for improvements. Ability to analyze and interpret statistics and tracking tools in order to effectively plan and make recommendations for changes in strategies and goals. Strong English writing, editing, and proofreading skills to produce appropriate donor acknowledgment letters, documents, reports, and online content utilizing correct grammar, syntax, punctuation. Demonstrated excellent editing and proofreading skills. Demonstrated skill in recruiting, training and supervising support staff. Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices. Strong communication skills to convey, both orally and in writing, the fundraising mission of the JCCF and research progress and goals of the JCCC. Demonstrated knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite software including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and graphics software. Ability to work overtime, evenings and weekends for special events, projects and meetings both on and off campus. Experience using fundraising and email software, particularly Raiser’s Edge and Convio, and auction tracking software such as AuctionMaestro Pro. Possession of a driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle to travel to off-site meetings and events. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed. Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to maintain confidentiality in a donor environment and use discretion in responding to inquiries.
