The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Fiscal Sponsorship Program. ABC provides fiscal sponsorship to nine Black, Indigenous, Latinx POC-led and serving organizations or projects, including The Okra Project; Black Trans Femmes in the Arts; For The Gworls; Black America Summit; and more. As part of our fiscal sponsorship program, we provide technical assistance, which takes the form of knowledge/skill-sharing and training. Because the Program Manager will become a “face” for the organization to our clients, the importance of building a culture of trust, openness, and collaboration cannot be understated. The Program Manager is a essentially a business advocate for our sponsored projects.

ABC provides consultation on topics such as: donor engagement, creating a business plan, creating and managing a budget, grant writing, financial literacy, hiring & recruitment, accounting, program development, and developing a board of directors.

You’ll fit right in if you are:

  • Not boring. We’re proud to be different, and you should be too!
  • Self-managed and self-motivated. We encourage education and coaching as part of our culture of disciplined excellence, and we don’t have time to micro-manage. But we have all the time for questions and supportive camaraderie.
  • Passionate about and active in the promotion of the arts and economic and racial justice. Activists welcome!
  • Ready to rise to the occasion when needed. You do not have a job; you have responsibilities, and we value the difference.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
  • Not afraid to speak up and share your ideas. This does not mean you need to be an extrovert, just someone with a strong sense of self. This is crucial in a fast-paced startup environment!

LGBTQ+ Black, Indigenous, and Latinx people of color are strongly encouraged to apply!
