QSAC is looking for a Benefits Assistant to support the Human Resources department. The position is located in Manhattan however travel to Queens is required at times. Responsibilities include: 

  • Process Worker’s Compensation claims for QSAC staff
  • Administer Disability (Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability) claims
  • Manage all leave of absences including FMLA and Paid Family Leave
  • Assist in conducting Benefits Orientation & other trainings as needed
  • Act as resource for all QSAC staff on all benefits related matters
  • Support benefits enrollment and COBRA administration


  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • Experience in benefits administration is required
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS programs required
  • Effective interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication required
  • Must be well-organized and very detail oriented
