Philadelphia Photo Arts Center is seeking experienced candidates for the position of Donor Relations Coordinator. The Donor Relations Coordinator will work with the CEO to develop major donor prospects, manage current donor cultivation cycle, develop solicitation proposals, schedule meetings, track communications and work with the Board Development Committee. This position will also work with CEO and other staff members to develop and manage cultivation events, including exhibition openings.

The ideal candidate will be experienced and passionate about the visual arts and enjoy working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment within a growing organization. The ideal candidate will be organized, able to work independently as well as with a team, self-motivated, driven, articulate, sociable and able to lead and problem solve.


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Minimum of 2 years fundraising/membership experience in the visual arts. 
  • Must have keen interest and knowledge of the visual arts.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization and planning skills. 
  • Strong social, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated drive and success in setting priorities and achieving goals. 
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills. 
  • Experience working with decision makers, Board members and other volunteers. 
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and be a motivated, enthusiastic team player that embraces the mission of the organization.
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with prospective donors, maintaining the highest degree of poise and professionalism.

The Philadelphia Photo Arts Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization devoted to the study, practice, and appreciation of photography in the Philadelphia region. The organization fulfills this mission by offering educational programs, photographic exhibitions, lectures by practicing artists, and affordable access to high-end digital equipment for the creation of photographs. PPAC is a resource for both practicing artists as well as individuals interested in learning about all aspects of contemporary photography. PPAC provides needed technical services and instruction and promotes the relationships and connections that will lead to a more vibrant photography community.
