Project Coordinator Position Summary

We are seeking a project coordinator to join our staff as a member of the School Improvement team.  A project coordinator is a member of a team of consultants who partners with a school, district, state department and/or other education organizations to assess, plan, implement and evaluate strategies to improve student achievement and school performance. Mi’s work includes conducting needs assessments, facilitating strategic improvement planning, and supporting partners to implement and continuously improve strategies that increase equitable experiences and outcomes for all students. We also support the development and implementation of district school improvement zones, cross-district school improvement networks and state-wide school improvement strategies.

A successful project coordinator is able to quickly do the following:

  • Manage external communications with schools, school districts and other organizations with which Mass Insight regularly communicates, including bridging powerful new partnerships, including setting up web meetings, managing technology, and ensuring the meeting experience is seamless
  • Join client meetings and serve as the point-person for all notes, updates to the internal project management system, leading on follow-up, and create 80% ready drafts of materials to finalize with the team
  • Event coordination: communicate with attendees, support travel, lodging, food, and conference space arrangements, support attendees in processing reimbursement
  • Manage discrete elements of projects including building projects plans, updating progress, coordinating with teammates, and forecasting timelines and needs
  • Support the development of materials for dissemination: proof reading documents and presentations, curating resources, synthesizing information, adding design elements to slides and other collateral
  • Support calendar management for team leaders



Top candidates for this role must:

  • Have at least 2 years of administrative support experience
  • Have a willingness to travel 1x per month on average     

Preferred candidates will:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree
  • Have worked in or with schools and/or school systems and/or the orgs that support them (e.g. districts, charter management organizations, education-focused nonprofits, state education agencies)

Compensation and Benefits

  • A salary of $45,000- $55,000 annually commensurate with experience
