    Role Summary

    The Events Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of Mindful Philanthropy’s in-person and virtual events. This individual will work closely with the Director of Operations and other team members to ensure that events effectively support the organization’s mission and strategic goals. Events will engage key stakeholders including philanthropists, mental health experts, and nonprofit leaders, and will raise the visibility of Mindful Philanthropy's work. The Manager of Event Planning and Production will ensure that all aspects of event logistics, from planning to post-event follow-up, are handled seamlessly.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with Mindful Philanthropy’s mission and key objectives.
    • Plan and execute both virtual and in-person events, including webinars, workshops, conferences, fundraisers, and roundtables.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that events are aligned with communications, branding, and overall organizational goals.
    • Coordinate event logistics such as venue selection, vendor negotiations, catering, travel arrangements, and A/V needs.
    • Oversee production of virtual events, ensuring a smooth participant experience on digital platforms.
    • Develop detailed event timelines, project plans, and budgets, ensuring all deliverables are met.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for external event partners, speakers, and vendors.
    • Support event marketing efforts by coordinating with the communications team on promotions, invitations, and outreach.
    • Ensure clear communication with attendees, stakeholders, and partners throughout the event planning process.
    • Track and report on event performance metrics, including attendee feedback, engagement, and ROI.
    • Provide post-event analysis and recommendations for future improvements.
    • Travel as needed for in-person events.
    • Perform additional duties as needs arise to support the mission of the organization.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Candidates based in Philadelphia or New York City preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree (ideally with a focus on hospitality, event planning or related areas)
    • 3-5 years of experience in event planning and production, preferably in the nonprofit or mental health sector.
    • Demonstrated experience planning successful events, both virtual and in-person.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proficiency in event management software and virtual platforms (e.g. Zoom, CRM systems, community platforms etc)

    • Travel for 3-4 In-Person Events for Team Development Annually
    • Reports directly to the VP of Strategic Partnerships and Development
