•Obtaining relevant materials (including headshots and bios) of artists for use in publicity pieces, show playbills, and online;

•Working with third-party vendors (printers, mailing houses, publications and broadcasters, etc.) to ensure timelines for creation and distribution of materials are met;

•Working with Public Relations Consultant to ensure timely deployment of releases and news articles; interview and article requests are solicited and executed; and press reviewers are invited and seated;

•Working with Graphic Designers and staff to create compelling marketing materials for all programs.

The ideal candidate has: a minimum of three to five years’ experience in non-profit arts marketing management; a passion for musical theatre work from 1900 to last week; the ability to charm donors, subscribers and parents with equal aplomb; and right-brain and left-brain power in equal portions (or at least a 60/40 ratio). Degree in marketing/education/theatre beneficial but not necessary.

It is the preference of Moon to hire one full-time person to handle both jobs, with an estimated split of two-thirds Marketing, one-third Education; and that this job will grow into two full-time positions within two years. This full-time position would come with full benefits. However, Moon will certainly consider two part-time employees for these jobs. Both positions report directly to the Executive Directors. Salary is commensurate with experience but is competitive for non-profit arts positions in the Bay Area.

We are open to considering candidates who wish to work/continue working as theatre artists (or other work) outside of/in addition to their work at Moon.

Benefits for full-time employees include standard vacation/holiday/sick days, health insurance, ability to telecommute/work from home one day a week.
