 SCHEDULE: 40 hours, Monday – Friday; 8:30am-5:00pm, weekends and holidays as needed

  

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The Director of Annual Giving and Donor Relations will plan, manage and coordinate all aspects of Pine Street Inn’s $5M direct response fundraising program, including solicitation, donor relations, and stewardship. As a member of the Advancement Department, the Director of Annual Giving and Donor Relations (“Annual Giving Director”) will work with the development and communications leadership team to maximize existing donor relationships, as well as to identify potential new donors, strategizing with other development leaders to enhance Pine Street Inn’s existing Annual Giving programs and to effect sustainable growth. The Annual Giving Director will be the primary steward of unrestricted giving solicitations, and will bring a creative approach to expanding the pool of donors supporting Pine Street’s operations.

  

REQUIREMENTS:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree
  •  Five (5) years of relevant annual giving, membership, or direct mail experience in a non-profit environment
  •  Demonstrated track record of successful unrestricted annual fundraising
  •  Demonstrated knowledge of donor stewardship best practices
  •  Familiarity with “externally facing fundraising” with individuals
  •  Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  •  Must possess strong problem solving, organizational, and documentation skills
  •  Self-motivated, multi-tasker with superior attention to detail
  •  Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  •  Ability to work in a changing team environment
  •  Flexible mindset, good sense of humor
  •  Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  •  Ability to sit for long periods of time
  •  Ability to utilize a PC, phone, fax and copier
  •  Ability to climb two flights of stairs
  •  Ability to travel to Pine Street Inn and Boston-area sites for meetings or trainings as required
  •  Ability to represent Pine Street Inn as a public speaker at events, conferences, panels, and other networking and donor solicitation opportunities
  •  Ability to work evenings/weekends surrounding special events or specific campaigns
  •  Ability to work holidays surrounding special events
