Position Overview

Global Citizen is looking for a talented Email Director to take the lead with our Global email marketing strategies and execution. Your main duties include running email marketing campaigns end-to-end, overseeing the global email calendar, managing email databases and creating newsletters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Global email calendar, collaborating across the Global Citizen organization
  • Implement all aspects of the campaign, including design, writing, and technical development
  • Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling
  • Ensure mobile-friendly email templates
  • Identify target audience and grow our email list
  • Optimize segmentation and contact strategies for the existing audience
  • Upgrade our email templates using graphics, personalization, and advanced features
  • Ensure prompt and accurate communication with all stakeholders and international teams
  • Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
  • Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices

Qualifications

The right candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or business. Other qualifications are:

  • 5-7+ years of Email Marketing experience including end-to-end Campaign management, deliverability, testing, and automation
  • Proving an ability to launch successful email campaigns end-to-end
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Knowledge of creative processes and social media marketing
  • Hands-on experience with HTML responsive design and content management systems
  • Manage many campaigns at once including different segmented messages
  • Data-driven thinking to analyze data through A/B testing and email optimization
  • Experience reporting and analyzing data
  • Knowledge of Iterable a plus
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision
