The Evaluation and Learning Analyst position supports a wide range of measurement, evaluation, and research efforts commissioned by First 5 LA in close collaboration with its partners. A primary role of the Evaluation and Learning Analyst position is to collaborate in the conceptualization of these efforts and in the procurement of qualified evaluation contractors/consultants to carry out the work. Once a qualified evaluation contractor/consultant is selected, the Evaluation and Learning Analyst provides oversight to ensure that measurement, evaluation, and research work is conducted in alignment with First 5 LA’s values, interests, and needs and is tailored to the local context. As part of these oversight responsibilities, the Evaluation and Learning Analyst works closely with the contractors/consultants and First 5 LA’s partners to inform design and implementation of these efforts. Additionally, the Evaluation and Learning Analyst leads dissemination efforts to promote use of measurement, evaluation, and research findings by First 5 LA and its partners. Under the direction of the Manager, Evaluation & Learning and in partnership with the Integration and Learning Department, the Evaluation & Learning Analyst provides conceptual and technical evaluation, research, measurement and data related support for all First 5 LA's investments as appropriate. In addition, the Evaluation & Learning Analyst will partner with the Integration & Learning department to develop project specific learning agendas and support organization wide efforts to share learning internally and externally.
