Description

The Community Idea Stations is seeking an Assistant Website Manager to support the CIS website with web design, development, and content management. This is a full time position with benefits and reports to the Website Manager.


The Assistant Website Manager will assist the Website Manager to create, edit and maintain website content and graphics, collect metadata, and curate content. This position will also assist with mobile and cross browser testing, SEO, and QA testing. The Assistant Website Manager will monitor and report on website performance and support efforts to increase traffic and engagement.


The successful candidate will have knowledge of web design and development, content management systems, navigation and site structure creation, and template development. Candidates should have at least 1 year of digital media content production, publishing and development experience or equivalent education and training with exposure to interactive media and/or non-profits. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Docs, Drupal 7 or 8 (or other CMS), and video rights management is required.


Successful candidates should be very detail oriented, possess strong initiative, and have the ability to clearly communicate with a wide variety of personalities. Candidates should be able to work independently in a deadline driven environment.


Preferred candidates may have experience in current HTML and CSS markup, PHP, Javascript or other programming language, and a basic understanding of MySQL and phpMyAdmin. Preferred candidates may also have working knowledge of audio editing software, project management and wire-framing software, and responsive design concepts. Experience or knowledge of monitoring and reporting on website activity, developing KPIs, and making recommendations to improve performance is preferred.
