The Western Colorado Center for the Arts in Grand Junction, Colorado is accepting applications for the position of Development and Fundraising Coordinator.
This is a full-time, salaried position.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Development Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all Art Center fundraising efforts including, grants, sponsorships for exhibitions, education, and special events as well as securing major gifts, developing planned giving, and capital campaigns.
The Development Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the Board of Trustees.
CORE PURPOSE: Develop and implement current and long term strategic funding plans to support the Art center’s goals and mission. Accelerate the growth of fundraising across a diversified range of sources to continue long term, sustainable income growth. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and supporter relationships which further The Art Center’s missions and growth.
Develop, design, implement and maintain both current and long-term strategic and operational plans for fundraising and income growth and sustainability.
Develop, implement, oversee, and evaluate all fundraising activities and events to ensure that financial goals are being achieved by creating and executing the strategic plan.
Together with Executive Director, make public appearances, conceive, encourage and participate in media opportunities and participate in speaking engagements to share information about The Art Center and develop fundraising opportunities.
Prepare regular reports on progress, budgets, receipts and expenditures related to fundraising and the management of funding development activities.
Perform other related duties as required.
3 years minimum experience in professional fundraising.
Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
Have knowledge of and experience in fund raising techniques, particularly grant-writing, sponsorships, major gift fundraising, and capital campaigns.
Proficiency in the use of computer for: fund raising software, word processing, databases, spreadsheets, email, internet.

Total dollars raised as reflected in annual budget (donations, grants, sponsorships, and event income).
