The Administrator is responsible for supporting the administration and operations of the Energy Transition Fund. The position reports to the Executive Director and will work remotely.

Specific responsibilities will include:

1.    Maintain grantee and funder management systems including:

●       Upkeep of key contact and payment data; 

●       Tracking of funder and grantee timelines and other key dates

●       Filing grant agreements, reports and proposals

2.    Provide logistical and other support for Steering Committee and other meetings including:

●       Meeting and call scheduling and logistics

●       Maintaining a written record of Steering Committee decisions

●       Supporting the compilation and distribution of meeting documents, including documents links and management

3.    Undertake basic financial management tasks including:

●       Processing of invoices and recurring bills

●       Maintain and modify trackers using Microsoft Excel and Google sheets

4.    Support the Executive Director including:

●       Arranging meetings and calls

●       Maintaining calendars and timelines

●       Processing expenses

●       Assist with special projects

●       General administrative, clerical, and online support

Candidate Profile

Qualifications include:

●       Professional administrative support experience

●       Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people

●       Superior oral and written communications skills in English

●       Effective time management and organization, even with frequent interruptions, and ability

to meet deadlines

●       Ability to work independently and in close collaboration with others

●       Adaptable and ability to be responsive and nimble in a fast-paced and evolving work

environment

●       Fluency with data, spreadsheets, online systems and information management

●       Experience with grants, philanthropy, and knowledge of environmental issues a plus

●       Strong Microsoft Office, Excel, and computer/internet/social skills

●       Commitment to maintaining confidentiality

●       Bachelor’s degree preferred

●       Experience working in cross-cultural environments is a strong asset


Salary:

The position will require an average of 20 hours per week, and hourly rate will be commensurate with experience. While the location is remote, the successful applicant will need to be available to support the Executive Director for a portion of the day in EST.
