Job Title:  Property Management Supervisor

Reports To: Assistant Property Manager



The position of Supervisor involves working closely with the Assistant Property Manager to manage frontline staff and multiple facilities inspections.

Areas of Responsibility


  • Monitor and motivate staff members / employees in accordance with facility policies and procedures
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Delegating tasks such as cleaning, working on projects and work as directed duties
  • Participating in performance evaluations
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records
  • Resolving employee and tenant complaints, concerns and conflicts
  • Supporting the Assistant Property Manager with maintaining facility goals
  • Provide administrative support to the Assistant Property Manager
  • Ensuring general safety of daily operations
  • Enforcing adherence to break/lunch requirements and current policies and guidelines
  • Warning employees for noncompliance of policies/procedures or deviant behavior
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
  • Mentor and provide staff with training and professional development
  • Assist with scheduling of staff schedules
  • Issues janitorial supplies and equipment to workers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
  • Conducts all building walk-through with Assistant Property Manager daily and complete facility inspection reports
  • Conducts daily checks of maintenance closets and equipment for safety and cleanliness
  • Inspects work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards
  • Completes special projects or additional duties as required
  • Assist with coordinating special events

  • Ability to provide a working atmosphere that is positive and productive
  • Ability to develop and implement effective staff training procedures



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required; experience working in an unionized environment preferred
  • Previous experience working in a related industry preferred
  • Equipment repair and maintenance knowledge preferred
