Job Description:
For hundreds of families, the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank is the first place they visit when they need a little extra help. We not only provide our community with basic needs - food, clothing and assistance accessing services and resources - we provide heart, hope and comfort.
The essential role of the Warehouse/Mobile Food Bank Coordinator is to support the Operations team in managing logistics, food transport and inventory at our warehouse and other off-site locations; help lead and regularly staff our developing Mobile Food Bank program; interface with our clients at off-site program locations and lead volunteers with IFCB food drive events.
This position is primarily in a warehouse-like setting and requires the ability to regularly lift items of up to, or more than, 50 pounds. The average weight of food managed and moved weekly by a team of volunteers is 25,000 pounds. Candidates must be independent, self-motivated, organized, effective at leading diverse large groups, individual volunteers, and skilled at interfacing with the public. Position hours are full-time, 40 hours per week with some schedule flexibility (evenings and weekends) as our Mobile Food Bank program develops.

REPORTS TO: Program Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Lead the operation of the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank (IFCB) off-site warehouse, including regularly transporting and sorting food. Leading includes intake and distribution of food, along with maintenance of physical layout of the space to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, safety, and security. Staff the operation of the Mobile Food Bank Program, including the loading and transportation of food in an IFCB or volunteer vehicle, supporting volunteers, and connecting with clients at the Mobile Food Bank Program. This position also assists in the operation, logistics and transportation requirements of other IFCB special programs, including, but not limited to, Groceries to Go/emergency deliveries, clothing events, and IFCB youth-feeding programs both on and off-site.
This position provides leadership for volunteers and will be available to support staff and volunteers throughout the week, on evenings and weekends.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

2. Participate as a key staff member of the IFCB operations team, working closely with operations and program coordinators on integrating and streamlining all IFCB operations.
3. Lead Mobile Food Bank Program operations. Responsibilities include:
4. Develop and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with staff members, volunteers, and other community organizations.
5. Stay informed in all areas of food safety standards and warehouse safety and security standards. Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate cleanliness, safety and security standards.
6. Act as an ambassador for the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank.
7. Participate in disaster or emergency-related duties, as needed.
8. Provide support to fellow program team members, as well as outside program areas, as needed.
9. Attend training as requested.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Two years of warehouse or team leadership experience preferred. Experience working in a food pantry or similar operation. Mature, reliable person who can work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
A. Knowledge of warehouse organization.
B. Knowledge of intake and distribution practices and procedures.
C. Knowledge of food safety and warehouse operations safety.
E. Ability to organize, set priorities and meet deadlines.
F. Ability to supervise and motivate volunteers.
G. Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion; maintain confidentiality of clients, co-workers and agency.
H. Ability to relate well to individuals of all backgrounds and socio-economic levels.
I. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, donors, volunteers, and coworkers verbally and in writing.
J. Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
K. Ability to operate and use general office equipment and basic computer knowledge
