Data Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

Black Health seeks a Data Analyst. The candidate is dedicated to organizing, analyzing, and communicating data as well as building technology solutions, to support and inform programmatic and operational efforts of the initiative.

WHAT YOU DO

• Assist in design, implementation and monitoring of project evaluation plans. 
• Assist with development of survey instruments and assessments for primary data collection. 
• Support data collection and management. 
• Analyze primary data for purposes of program evaluation and reporting. 
• Analyze public health and health care data to support evaluation activities and regional project planning and priority setting. 
• Assist in design, implementation, and maintenance of standard internal and external (public) dashboards 
• Respond to queries and data analysis requests by internal and external stakeholders. 
• Serve on project work groups and subcommittees. 
• Generate reports of findings for funders, partners, and the public. 
• Other responsibilities as assigned. 

WHAT YOU NEED

•  At least five to seven years of  relevant experience in public health data analysis and program evaluation. 
• Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools.  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Experience in handling multiple projects and deliverables within deadlines.
• Strategic and systemic thinker, able to draw new insights from complicated information
• Project management skills and an organized, self-directed approach
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to build and cultivate relationships at all levels

DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Excel, Google Forms, Tableau, Data Wrapper, GIS, Zapier or similar software 
• Quantitative and qualitative research and data analysis
• Microsoft Office Suite
• SharePoint
• Web-enabled survey platforms such as Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey
• SPSS

BENEFITS

The salary for this position is within the range of $72,000 - $80,000 per year.

Black Health offers accrual of up to 4 weeks per year PTO, 7 sick days. Seventy percent of employer provided coverage for medical benefits, not including dental and vision. (Which will change at the onset of open enrollment.). POSITION DETAILS

This is a full-time exempt position based in New York, NY. Some travel will be required. Candidates must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination will be required. Additional evening and weekend hours are occasionally required to fulfill the duties of this position. Relocation is not available for this role.
