TERM:  Seasonal (12 Weeks) August 1 - October 21

RATE:   $800/Week

For over 50 years, Film at Lincoln Center has been dedicated to supporting the art and elevating the craft of cinema and enriching film culture. Film at Lincoln Center fulfills its mission through the programming of festivals, series, retrospectives, and new releases; the presentation of podcasts, talks, and special events; and the creation and implementation of artist initiatives. Since its founding in 1969, this nonprofit organization has brought the celebration of American and international film to the world-renowned Lincoln Center arts complex, making the discussion and appreciation of cinema accessible to a broad audience and ensuring that it remains an essential art form for years to come.


About the role  

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing, the NYFF Marketing and Communications Assistant will support the mission and activities of NYFF60 by supporting festival-specific marketing, communications, outreach, reporting, and administrative efforts. 


PRINCIPAL DUTIES 

  • Assists with the creation of the NYFF daily newsletter
  • Assists in scheduling NYFF videography/photography staff
  • Assists with workflow management of creative elements through the approvals process
  • Provides on-site/venue support to marketing and communications staff during NYFF
  • Catalogs and documents festival marketing materials ((e.g. pull quotes, sales tools, filmmaker quotes etc.)
  • Coordinates on-site displays and printed materials at NYFF Venues
  • Supports the aggregation of festival-specific data and general reporting 
  • Supports community outreach and audience development efforts at the direction of FT Staff
  • Assists with initiatives in celebration of the 60th anniversary of NYFF

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 1-2 years of digital marketing and/or publicity experience, ideally in a film/entertainment or film festival environment
  • Knowledge of film and the New York Film Festival
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently but with open communication
  • Experience with the production/shooting/editing of video/audio
  • Experience with WordPress, G Suite, Slack, and basic HTML all would be helpful
