Executive Director

Position Type: Part-time, 20 hours/week

Location: Program sites in Los Angeles and home office

Reports to: KEEN Los Angeles Board of Directors

Salary: Up to $35K

About this Position:

KEEN Los Angeles is a community of dedicated individuals who care deeply about the population of youth with disabilities in Los Angeles and are willing to volunteer time, talent and resources to ensure these youth have opportunities for fitness, fun and socialization. After a hiring freeze during the pandemic during which time the organization continued to provide services to our target population led by our incredible cadre of volunteers and our Program Coordinator, KEEN LA is now in a position to reopen the search for our next stellar Executive Director.

A successful Executive Director for KEEN LA is someone who really has 20 hours a week to focus on KEEN LA and appreciates having the flexibility of when to work those hours. They are someone who is self motivated and can work autonomously while also building strategic relationships. They understand the importance of rigorous follow up and communicating with volunteers and board members and feel comfortable holding people accountable to their commitments. They are someone who has the time and is excited to get out in the Los Angeles community and represent KEEN LA. They can demonstrate experience with most, if not all, of the attributes aforementioned and responsibilities below.

We are aiming to hire by October but are more interested in finding the right fit to lead us through our next stage than simply filling the position.

Interested candidates should submit a resume and a cover letter specifically addressing their experiences of the attributes of success (above) and responsibilities (below) by email to search@keenlosangeles.org by Friday September 24th.
