Reports To: Director of Development Position Summary

LINC seeks a Manager of Corporate Philanthropy and Engagement to join its award-winning Development team. Reporting to the Director of Development and working in close collaboration with this role, the Manager of Corporate Philanthropy and Engagement will be responsible for prospecting, cultivating, growing, and sustaining LINC’s corporate resources. The role will strengthen and expand our corporate philanthropy practice, uncovering opportunities for new engagement while seeking increased commitment from current corporate supporters. The ideal candidate is passionate about education justice, understands the significant role early literacy plays in achieving equity, and has a track record of raising funding from corporate donors. We are looking for a superb writer who is able to prepare effective and compelling communications, grant proposals, reports, and LOIs leveraging academic research and our internal evaluation findings. As a key member of a collaborative team, the Manager of Corporate Philanthropy and Engagement will also support our corporate volunteers program, our junior board, and LINC’s various special events, including our annual gala. With an annual fundraising goal of $4 million, LINC is currently experiencing rapid growth and transformation as it celebrates its 25th Anniversary throughout 2021 and 2022. This is an exciting time to join LINC. LINC’s development team raises the revenue to support deep neighborhood focused community program teams across the city, internal program and evaluation staff, a strong communications team, and an overall ethos of equity achieved through access to the quality early literacy programs.

Our programs transform families; our families transform communities Responsibilities Manages LINC’s corporate fundraising, engagement and stewardship

● Draft proposals based on corporate foundation guidelines and interests, and prepare targeted reports and updates.

● Deepen corporate relationships and partnerships by identifying strategies for ongoing engagement that ultimately lead to increased support and funding

● Work with other members of the LINC team to identify and create sponsorship opportunities and donor recognition

● Identify opportunities to leverage board resources and relationships to increase corporate prospects and relationships

● Participate and support LINC’s Junior Board’s efforts

● Ensure all work is calendared and well documented in LINC’s Salesforce database

● Help to update, produce, and distribute corporate donor communications, fundraising presentation packets, blogs, newsletters and other marketing materials

● Support other development efforts as needed, including special events, gala, and corporate volunteer projects

Skills/Qualifications:

4+ years of direct experience in fundraising, with two years of demonstrated effectiveness in corporate fundraising Bachelor’s Degree required High level of creativity, initiative, and motivation Excellent organization and research skills Superior writing, analytical, listening and verbal communication skills are necessary. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a diverse team Proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and under tight deadlines Collaborative, curious, and a creative problem solver Able to work in a fast-paced organization and adapt to complexity and ambiguity Humor and Can Do attitude are highly valued Highly proficient in GSuite and Microsoft suite. Knowledge of Salesforce a plus Must be willing to travel to corporate and community locations throughout the city
