Harbor Communities Overcoming Violence (HarborCOV) is an innovative, nontraditional nonprofit domestic violence organization that provides culturally appropriate emergency and support services and affordable housing for low-income, multicultural survivors of abuse and their children, while educating the public about the causes and consequences of domestic violence.

The Housing Manager provides high-quality case management, advocacy, referrals, resources and services to survivors and their families in our transitional and longer-term housing programs. Responsibilities include: leading a comprehensive tenant selection process, managing the housing waiting lists, coordinating ongoing survivor-led community building activities; overseeing accurate data collection to ensure safety, confidentiality and access to quality resources for survivors; supporting survivors’ progress toward their goals; and supporting the ongoing learning and development of the team. Five years’ experience in the domestic violence field, three years direct supervision experience, and computer literacy required. Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred. 

Ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of resources in Chelsea, Revere, Winthrop, East Boston and Charlestown. They will be able to balance their love of being part of a mission-centered team with working independently; have exceptional assessment, listening, communication, problem-solving and de-escalation skills; be highly creative, flexible and adaptive; and have a deep understanding of culturally relevant, strength-based strategies within an economic and social-justice framework for working with survivors, the broader community and other members of the HarborCOV team.


80% employer-paid medical insurance; 401k; paid holidays, sick and personal time; two weeks vacation in the first year, then three weeks after that
