Since its launch in 2008, Share Our Strength’s Dine Out For No Kid Hungry™ has united the restaurant industry to raise over $62 million to support programs that are effectively reaching and feeding children in need, in communities across the U.S. The Senior Manager will collaborate with the Dine Out and Corporate Partnerships Teams to identify, recruit, solicit and cultivate new corporate relationships, primarily in the restaurant industry to support Dine Out for No Kid Hungry. S/he will be responsible for raising revenue from restaurant and food service companies for Share Our Strength through cause related marketing, corporate sponsorships and strategic philanthropy.

 

  • Lead cultivation and pipeline development of large multi-unit restaurant partners to achieve fundraising goals for the Dine Out for No Kid Hungry campaign.
  • Recruit new restaurant and corporate partners to support the Dine Out for No Kid Hungry campaign through research and identification of cultivation targets at restaurant companies and food industry suppliers/vendors. Generate qualified leads and potential partnerships through strategic outreach and cultivation activities, including networking with corporate contacts, public relations firms, marketing agencies, associations, and other prospective funding partners.
  • Customize all correspondence, developing creative marketing and promotional activation concepts and linking the support of No Kid Hungry to direct business objectives – such as employee engagement, traffic, sales volume, customer loyalty and PR. Create customized materials such as PowerPoint presentations for each restaurant prospect, written proposals, contracts and other marketing/prospecting materials that include specific activation ideas. 
  • Create innovative stewardship strategies to engage executive level supporters, leverage Share Our Strength Executive Office to build relationships with key prospects, including developing and implementing strategies to conduct face-to-face meetings, leverage personal correspondence and communications to create a high-touch and personalized engagement process, and overall make full and effective use of the expertise and experience of our senior executive team and Advisory Board members.
  • Proactively work with Partnership Development/Account Management/Corporate Partnerships team and other Share Our Strength departments to include content and best practices to enhance partnership development proposals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree, plus at least 5-7 years of experience in restaurant marketing or sales from the corporate, agency or non-profit perspective.
  • Strong professional network and direct experience developing large-scale cause-marketing or CSR/corporate philanthropic partnerships in the restaurant industry, a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization and work successfully with them.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), including strong presentation skills.
  • Emotional intelligence and strong orientation towards customer service (internally and externally).
  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, including ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced and collaborative workplace; demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, lead projects, meet multiple concurrent deadlines, and organize time and priorities.
  • Experience in development and marketing with major corporations.
  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to children’s issues, hunger causes, and/or corporate philanthropy; high energy and demonstrated passion for Share Our Strength’s mission.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; experience with REnxt CRM platform a plus.
