Location: Greater Seattle Area, currently work from home 

Position type: temporary part-time, non-exempt 

Time Commitment: 20 hrs/week, starting as soon as possible - end of July 2021

Compensation Range: $26 - $31.60 per hour

Summary of role 

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about logistics, program coordination, and equity in communities of color to join the Fellowship team at RVC. This position will have three major priorities for the next 2 months. 1) This position will support the Community Impact Fellowship Program and the Green Pathways Fellowship Program with a majority of the logistics required, 2) refining and preparing for fellowship recruitment, and 3) check-in and coordinate events as related to current and alum fellows. 

Based on fit, performance, and interest we would encourage the temporary staff to apply for the full-time position and their application will be prioritized and highly considered into the first round interview process. 


Essential Responsibilities 

Fellowship Programs (60%) 

● Coordinate and manage aspects of program logistics from pre- and post-monthly trainings, regular fellows convening, retreats, grubhub (got to feed the people), and other program activities 

● Ensure excellent administration, organization, and management of training and program materials in canvas, zoom, and google drive 

● Coordinate and ensure the solicitation and assessment of evaluations from fellows, trainers, staff, and community organizations as they relate to fellow trainings ● Support and collaborate with the development team on outreach and logistics for the fellows’ graduation in August 

● Work with Green Pathways Program Manager to refine and implement the recruitment plan for the next cohort of fellows in the Community Impact Fellowship Program

● Provide other program support as needed 

Alumni and Mentorship Program Support (30%) 

● Send and update the alum job board 

● Plan and facilitate alumni convenings and space for support and connection with past and current fellows 

● Check-in with alum fellows quarterly or biyearly to maintain a connection to the organization 

● Plan and facilitate an appreciation event for mentors who’ve committed two years of supporting fellows 

Administrative & General Operations (10%) 

● Reorganize the fellowship programs drive to be more intuitive to find and store fellowship program-related materials 

● Contribute, collaborate and participate in Fellowship meetings and contribute to strengthening the deep roots within our community, both internally and externally 


What we are looking for: 

● Experience working with diverse communities (race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability, age, gender, class, etc.) 

● At least 1 year of group facilitation experience and event planning experience ● Excellent communication (written and verbal), critical thinking, customer service, and organizational skills 

● Able to multitask and work in a flexible, evolving environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail 

● Sincere commitment to working as a team member while also being able to work independently 

● Comfortable using and a variety of software platforms (including Microsoft suite, Google suite, Zoom, Canvas) and the flexibility and ability to learn new systems that might be unfamiliar 

● A positive and professional attitude and demeanor 

● Highest level of discretion in protecting confidential information and preserving database security 

● Willingness to take initiative and generate creative solutions to challenges ● Experience with communities of color and grassroots organizations ● Passion for working in the nonprofit sector 

● Love of continuous learning 

● Talent for creating and managing systems

Salary Structure 

Salary offer will be dependent on experience and calculated transparently with the final candidate using an equitable salary calculator used by RVC. We believe in work-life balance

and are committed to keeping the workload in alignment with the true hours worked.
